French academies and player development pathways
A player’s development pathway can involve several clubs and a national institute. HEXAGONE links documented youth spells to sourced destinations and displays the official FFF academy evaluation separately.
Who developed a player?
The career page retains each youth spell explicitly documented in the biography. Periods can overlap, and an institute such as Clairefontaine remains a separate institution. A spell does not award exclusive training credit or establish regulatory club-trained status. Senior reserve-team appearances do not automatically create a youth stage.
What the pathways show
Links connect an academy to the player’s documented club in the snapshot. They do not represent direct transfers. A player counts once for a given academy but may belong to several academies’ cohorts. The international selection is editorial and incomplete: its volume is neither an export rate nor a national success measure.
A separate official assessment
The FFF 2025/26 evaluation uses five sporting and educational criteria: professional contracts, first-team playing time, national-team representation, education and European representation. Its data cutoff is 31 May 2026. Divisions refer to the evaluated season. The site shows selected leading centres and links to the original report; these ratings are not computed from our sample.
Following a career without inventing stages
Closed senior periods retain reserve teams and loans. Missing intervals stay as gaps, and an unended career row is insufficient proof of a current club. Selected international destinations have separate official checks. Follow an academy in your browser to find its pathways again; source dates remain the reference for freshness.
Are BTTS frequencies predictions?
No. They describe the share of observed matches in which both teams scored. Next-match probabilities are computed separately by the model and depend on the opponent.
Where do Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 statistics come from?
Current results use Wikipedia score matrices reconciled with standings. Dated fixtures and squads have separate source revisions. Historical results come from OpenFootball. Source links and licences are retained.
Are the displayed odds bookmaker quotes?
No. Theoretical odds equal 1 divided by model probability, without margin. The comparison tool receives only the odds you enter; no bookmaker feed is connected.
Why do tables show N or 4/7?
A percentage alone hides sample size. N is the number of matches, and 4/7 means four occurrences in seven games. Missing values are not replaced with zeros.
How are the latest five results selected?
By verified date, after matching the fixture and score against the matrix. With partial dated coverage, these are the latest five available results, not necessarily the latest five matches played.
Can I read the data in French?
Yes. Every page and guide has a French and English version, connected by the language switch. Exports use stable identifiers shared across both languages.
